Compete honestly, construct thoughtfully, and never use a puzzle to target a person or community.

Keep people safe

Do not post threats, incitement, targeted harassment, hateful dehumanization, sexual exploitation, doxxing, or instructions for serious wrongdoing. Topic, clue, profile, and feedback text all follow the same standard.

Share your own work

Create original puzzles and use only material you have the right to share. Do not repost another creator's puzzle or copy another service's writing, artwork, animations, branding, or overall presentation. Attribution alone does not grant permission.

Play and publish honestly

Choose an accurate Independent or Interlocking label, mark specialist topics, disclose AI authorship, and do not knowingly publish an impossible puzzle. Manipulating rating, reactions, reports, follows, or rankings—whether alone, through extra accounts, or through automation—is prohibited.

Moderation and appeals

Depending on context and severity, Fourfold may reduce a puzzle's reach, quarantine or remove it, restrict features, or suspend an account. Credible threats receive urgent review. Report a concern through the puzzle's report action; creators may use the appeals process to challenge a decision.
